Filter pitches inside a report

Focus a pitch map and pitch list on a specific result, pitch type, count, inning, or coaching flag.

Open pitch-level filters

  1. During a Game or Bullpen, open Session Review; or open a completed report from Reporting.
  2. Choose the pitcher or report view you want to examine, then open Filters.
  3. Use the applicable groups: Pitch Result, Pitch Type, Batter Side, Delivery, Count, Innings, and Annotations.
  4. Select the values you want to see. The pitch map and pitch list narrow together so you can see which pitches match.

Filter by count before the pitch

For Game sessions, Count means the balls and strikes before each pitch. You can select more than one of the 12 possible counts: 0–0, 0–1, 0–2, 1–0, 1–1, 1–2, 2–0, 2–1, 2–2, 3–0, 3–1, and 3–2.

For example, choose 0–0 to study first pitches, or combine 0–2 and 1–2 to review pitches thrown while ahead with two strikes.

Combine filters

You can choose multiple values within a group and combine groups to narrow your result. For example, choose Fastball under Pitch Type and 0–0 under Count to see fastballs that started an at-bat. The available choices depend on what was recorded in that session.

Use Annotations to focus on Quality Pitch, Missed Location, Mechanics, or pitches with a written note. Use Innings for Game sessions that have inning information.

Filters do not erase pitchesThese controls narrow the pitches shown on the map and in the list. The pitching statistics summary describes the complete selected pitcher/session, not just the visible filtered pitches. Clear filter choices to see the full chart again.
