Add coaching flags and pitch notes

Mark quality pitches, missed locations, mechanics, or a short observation without changing the baseball result.

Add an annotation

  1. Open the recorded pitch in a Game or Bullpen. In Game tracking, press and hold a pitch and choose Annotate Pitch; in Bullpen, use the recorded pitch controls.
  2. Choose any relevant coaching flags: Quality Pitch, Missed Location, or Mechanics.
  3. Add an optional written pitch note, then save the annotation.
  4. Open Session Review to check the flag or note on the pitch. Annotations can also be reviewed in saved reports.

More than one flag can apply to the same pitch, and a written note can accompany a flag. A Quality Pitch can still be a ball; these coaching observations are not the same as the called result.

Find annotated pitches later

Open Filters in Session Review or a completed report and look under Annotations. Choose Quality Pitch, Missed Location, Mechanics, or Has Note to find the pitches you marked.

Look for the green outlineA solid green outline on a pitch marker indicates a written pitch note. Flags can exist without a written note, so use the pitch details or annotation filter to see all flagged pitches.

When you share the report

Coaching flags and written pitch notes appear with the relevant pitches in supported completed report, Share Link, and PDF views. The baseball result stays separate from the coaching annotation.
