Start the next batter

Advance to a new at-bat, reset the count, and use the inning flag when the next hitter starts a new inning.

Move to the next batter

  1. Track at least one pitch in the current at-bat.
  2. Tap Next Batter.
  3. Play Catch advances the at-bat number and begins the new batter at a 0–0 count with RHH selected.
  4. Switch to LHH if needed before tracking the next pitch.

If you place another pitch after a completed at-bat

Play Catch may ask Start a new batter? Choose New Batter to move that pitch to the next at-bat, or Stay on Batter to keep it with the current hitter.

If the inning is changing

Use the green inning flag to mark the next inning before advancing. The boundary appears before the next plate appearance. See Track and correct innings.
