Add pitch result tags
Record the pitch result and see how called strikes, swinging strikes, fouls, and strikeouts affect the live count.
Add a result
- Drag a marker to the pitch location.
- Tap the pitch dot you just placed.
- Choose the result that applies.
Available pitch results
- Called Ball
- Called Strike
- Swing Strike
- K Looking and K Swinging when a third strike ends the at-bat
- Walk when four balls complete the walk
- Hit By Pitch
Tap an active result again if you need to remove it. When the third strike is called or swinging, Play Catch can pair that strike result with K Looking or K Swinging. This is one pitch with a strikeout outcome, not an extra pitch.
One result path per pitchChoosing a pitch result clears any contact tag on that same pitch. Choosing contact instead clears the pitch result.
A foul ball does not add a third strike after the batter already has two. See Understand the live batter count for the count lights and reset behavior.
