Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PLAY CATCH WITH ME LLC, an Oregon limited liability company, collects, uses, stores, and shares information through Play Catch Pitch Tracker and the Play Catch with Me Pitch Tracker website.
In this policy, “Play Catch,” “the app,” “the service,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to PLAY CATCH WITH ME LLC and the Play Catch with Me Pitch Tracker service.
Questions about this policy may be sent to:
1. Who the service is for
Play Catch Pitch Tracker is intended for coaches, parents, instructors, and other adults and baseball organizations that record and review baseball pitching sessions.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Children under 13 may not create or control accounts.
A parent, guardian, coach, instructor, or other authorized adult may enter a limited player name or label for a youth player. The adult is responsible for having the authority to enter, use, and share that information.
The service is not intended to be directed to children under 13 and is not offered as an app-store Kids category product.
2. Information we collect
Account and authentication information
When you create or use an account, we may process:
- Your email address
- Authentication and account identifiers
- Password-reset and account-confirmation activity
- Account creation, login, and security events
- Optional communication or marketing preferences
Passwords and authentication credentials are managed through our authentication provider. We do not receive or store your readable account password.
Information you enter into the app
Depending on how you use the service, we may process:
- Workspace names
- Player names, initials, jersey numbers, nicknames, or other player labels
- Session titles
- Bullpen and game-session information
- Pitch locations
- Pitch marker names, colors, and settings
- Batter-side and at-bat information
- Pitch and contact outcome tags
- Session and at-bat notes
- Saved report data
- Public-share tokens, expiration dates, and related link information
The app does not require full legal names for players. Users are encouraged to use only the minimum information necessary, such as a first name, initials, jersey number, nickname, or player label.
Do not enter unnecessary personal information, medical information, home addresses, school information, contact details, photographs, or other sensitive information in player labels, session titles, notes, or reports.
Report and PDF information
Play Catch stores the underlying report data used to display reports and generate PDFs.
Play Catch does not upload, host, or retain a separate generated PDF report file. A PDF is generated locally on the device of the account holder or public-link recipient from the report data available through the service.
A public report link, including access to view the report and generate or download its PDF, is controlled by the link’s public-share token and expiration date.
After a PDF is generated and downloaded, printed, forwarded, saved, screenshotted, or otherwise copied outside the service, Play Catch cannot control, revoke, or delete that external copy.
Subscription and entitlement information
When subscriptions are available, we may receive or maintain information such as:
- Subscription status
- Paid-through or renewal date
- Product or plan identifier
- Store transaction or purchase identifier
- Billing grace-period status
- Refund, cancellation, or expiration status
- Beta, promotional, or manually approved entitlement status
Apple and Google process subscription payments through their respective stores. We do not receive your complete payment-card number.
Technical and security information
The app and our service providers may automatically process limited technical information needed to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the service, including:
- IP address
- Browser or device type
- Operating system
- User-agent information
- Request dates and timestamps
- Authentication events
- Requested resources
- Error and performance information
- Security and audit logs
We do not intentionally create advertising identifiers, device fingerprints, or custom persistent device identifiers. We do not intentionally collect precise geographic location information.
Apple, Google, operating-system providers, or device platforms may provide crash reports or diagnostic information depending on the user’s device settings and diagnostic-sharing choices.
Support and website communications
When you contact us through email or a website form, we may process:
- Your name
- Your email address
- The content of your message
- Any information or files you voluntarily provide
- Limited technical and anti-abuse information associated with the request
Please do not send sensitive player information through a support form unless it is reasonably necessary to resolve the issue.
3. Local device storage and website cookies
The app uses local device storage, including browser or WebView storage technologies, for functional purposes such as:
- Preserving an active session
- Supporting interruption and offline recovery
- Remembering the selected workspace
- Remembering settings and preferences
- Maintaining authentication or application state
- Remembering whether instructional messages have been viewed
This local storage is used to operate the app and is not used for advertising.
The Play Catch with Me Pitch Tracker website may use strictly necessary cookies or similar storage for website security, contact forms, basic functionality, and abuse prevention.
We do not currently use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party behavioral analytics in the app or on the website.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- Create, authenticate, and secure accounts
- Operate and improve the service
- Save and synchronize sessions and report data
- Display reports
- Generate PDFs locally on a user’s or public-link recipient’s device
- Provide public report-sharing features
- Manage public-share tokens and expiration dates
- Apply free, paid, beta, and promotional access rules
- Process and verify subscription entitlements
- Recover interrupted sessions
- Respond to support requests
- Send account confirmations, password resets, security notices, and other service communications
- Prevent misuse, fraud, security incidents, and technical problems
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
- Enforce our Terms of Use
Account confirmation, password-reset, security, billing, and other service-related messages are not marketing messages and may be sent regardless of your marketing preference.
We may send promotional communications only where you have provided the appropriate consent. You may withdraw that consent at any time.
5. Analytics and advertising
We do not currently use third-party behavioral analytics, advertising SDKs, cross-app advertising trackers, or targeted-advertising technology in the app.
We do not sell personal information or use personal information for targeted advertising.
If our analytics or advertising practices materially change, we will update this Privacy Policy and the applicable app-store privacy disclosures before using the new technology.
6. Reports and public sharing
Reports are private to the account unless the account holder deliberately creates or shares a public report link.
A public report link controls access to both:
- Viewing the report
- Generating or downloading its PDF
Anyone who possesses an active public report link may be able to view the report and generate or download its PDF without signing in.
Users are responsible for deciding who receives a public report link and must avoid including sensitive or unnecessary personal information in shared reports.
Public-link expiration is separate from signed-in report storage and account access.
Free-plan public links
A public report link created under a free plan generally expires 90 days after the link is created.
During that period, the link may be used to view the report and generate or download its PDF.
Free users cannot renew or replace an expired free-plan link for the same report unless they upgrade to paid access while the underlying report data is still retained.
Paid-plan public links
A public report link created while paid access is active generally expires 180 days after the link is created.
During that period, the link may be used to view the report and generate or download its PDF.
A paid user may renew the link while paid access remains active. Renewal starts a new 180-day period and replaces the prior active public-share token.
Copying, viewing, or sending an existing link again does not restart its expiration period.
The access period is based on the account’s status when the link is created. Later cancellation does not ordinarily change the link’s existing expiration date.
Account deletion, report deletion, link renewal, revocation, misuse, or a security action may invalidate a link earlier.
If a free user upgrades while retained report data is available, the user may create a paid-plan public report link with a new 180-day period.
Generated and downloaded PDFs
Play Catch does not maintain a separately hosted public PDF file.
The PDF is generated locally from the underlying report data when an authorized user or public-link recipient chooses to generate or download it.
When the public report link expires or is invalidated, the recipient can no longer use that link to view the report or generate or download its PDF.
After a PDF is downloaded, printed, forwarded, saved, screenshotted, or otherwise copied outside the service, Play Catch cannot revoke, recover, or delete that external copy.
7. Report access and retention
An active Apple, Google, or approved beta entitlement may unlock retained report data, including reports created before the account received paid access.
When a paid subscription is canceled, paid access generally continues through the applicable paid-through date and any billing grace period supported by the store.
After paid access ends, the normal free-plan report rules apply:
- Reports less than 90 days old generally remain available.
- Reports more than 90 days old may become locked.
- Locked report data may remain retained for a limited period and may become available again if paid access is restarted before the information is deleted.
Restarting paid access may restore signed-in access to retained report data. It does not automatically reactivate an expired public report link.
Inactive unpaid account and report data may be retained for up to 12 months for account reactivation, customer support, and service administration. This period may be measured from the account’s last activity or the end of paid access, as applicable.
After that period, inactive unpaid data may be deleted or de-identified.
Account deletion overrides ordinary retention periods and removes the associated account and product data as described below.
8. When we share information
We may share information only as reasonably necessary with:
Service providers
We use service providers that help us operate the app and website, including:
- Supabase for authentication, database services, public-share token management, and related backend functions
- Apple and Google for app distribution, subscriptions, store transactions, and platform diagnostics
- HostGator and related website providers for the public website, legal pages, and support forms
- Email-delivery and mailbox providers for authentication messages, security notices, and support communications
- Operating-system, hosting, security, and infrastructure providers
These providers may process information on our behalf under their own agreements, terms, and privacy practices.
Legal and safety purposes
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with a lawful request or legal obligation
- Protect users, the public, or our rights
- Investigate fraud, security incidents, abuse, or unlawful conduct
- Enforce our agreements
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims
Business changes
If the service or company is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections and applicable law.
At your direction
Information may be shared when you deliberately create a public report link, generate or send a PDF, contact a third party through your device, or otherwise direct us to share information.
9. Youth-player information
The app is designed to minimize the information entered about youth players.
The app does not ask users to provide player:
- Email addresses
- Birth dates
- Home addresses
- School names
- Photographs or videos
- Health or medical information
- Parent or guardian contact information
An authorized adult may enter a limited player label and baseball-session information. The adult controls the account and is responsible for the information entered and shared.
If we learn that a child under 13 created an account or directly submitted personal information through the service without appropriate adult involvement, we may suspend the account and delete the information.
A parent or guardian who believes that a child under 13 directly provided information to us should contact coach@playcatchwithme.com.
10. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.
No internet service, device, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials, devices, generated or downloaded PDFs, and public report links.
11. Your choices and rights
Depending on how you use the service, you may:
- Review and update certain account information
- Edit or delete player labels, sessions, notes, or reports where the app provides those controls
- Withdraw optional marketing consent
- Cancel a subscription through the applicable app store
- Delete your account through the app
- Request deletion through our public account-deletion page or by contacting us
- Contact us to request access to or correction of information associated with your account
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional privacy rights. You may contact us to exercise those rights. We will not discriminate against you for making a valid privacy request.
12. Account deletion
The app provides an in-app Delete Account process.
The process requires account reauthentication, confirmation by typing DELETE, and acknowledgment that deleting the Play Catch account does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription.
Account deletion permanently removes the authentication account and associated product data, including:
- Workspaces
- Player labels
- Sessions
- Notes
- Underlying report data
- Public-share tokens and public report links
- Related app data
Account deletion invalidates associated public report links and prevents future report viewing or PDF generation through those links.
Account deletion cannot delete a PDF, screenshot, printout, or other copy that was previously generated, downloaded, forwarded, saved, or otherwise stored outside the service.
Account deletion cannot be undone.
Apple and Google subscriptions must be canceled separately through the applicable store. Deleting the app or deleting the Play Catch account does not automatically stop store billing.
A person who no longer has access to the app may request deletion through the account-deletion page on playcatchwithme.com or by emailing coach@playcatchwithme.com.
Limited records may be retained only when reasonably necessary for transaction accounting, fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, or the establishment or defense of legal claims. Such records will not be used to restore a deleted account.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service, legal requirements, or our data practices change.
We will update the “Last Updated” date when changes are made. When reasonably appropriate, we may also provide notice through the app, website, or email.
Continued use of the service after an updated policy takes effect means that the updated policy applies to future use, subject to any consent required by law.
